KUCHING: Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii has been appointed as the Political Secretary to the Human Resources Minister, Steven Sim Chee Keong.
He took his oath of office yesterday witnessed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In his Facebook post, the Bandar Kuching MP expressed his gratitude for the trust given to him by Sim and the Democratic Action Party (DAP).
“I am humbled by the trust and opportunity given by the Minister and my party to be involved in governance and to add value to the Ministry,” he said.
He further outlined his dedication to working closely with the prime minister and Sim to realise their vision for the improved management and development of human resources.
“To increase their productivity and marketability, we will ensure that their (workers) welfare is better taken care of, and also be given the right platform to up-skill or reskill themselves,” he added.
Dr Yii also thanked Sim for the opportunity and pledged to undertake his responsibilities earnestly.
