KUCHING: Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen recently donated a generous amount of RM91,196 to SMK Tabuan Jaya here.
According to Dr Yii, the allocation was meant for the school to purchase new furniture as its existing ones were already worn out.
“SMK Tabuan Jaya is a sports school in Sarawak. I have been informed that the school furnitures, such as desks and chairs, are very old and in critical condition.
“The school is in need of new cabinets and other furnitures, equipment for classrooms and offices for it to have a conducive environment for administration, teaching and learning programmes,” he said in his Facebook page today.
He added that at the school’s request, his office has allocated the fund for the purchase of furnitures.
