BALINGIAN: Several drains in the Balingian constituency will be constructed and upgraded at a total cost of RM450,000 under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) grants.
A total of RM300,000 has been allocated for the drainage system in Kampung Masjid, Balingian.
Che Ghazali Arbi, representing Balingian Assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi, recently witnessed the project handover by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Mukah Division representative Nurul Amanina Jaffar to the contractor, ZR Construction.
“The project is expected to be completed within eight months. I hope the contractor will execute it well and finish it according to the schedule outlined in the contract,” he said.
Meanwhile, RM150,000 has been allocated for the construction of concrete drains in several areas of Kampung Pulat, Balingian.
The project document handover was conducted by DID Mukah Division representative Olga Vinnera Rofian, who handed over the project to the contractor, Syarikat Warisan Permata.
Also present were representatives from the Balingian Sub-District Office, Salina Bohan, and Kampung Pulat Balingian village chief Harun Ulis.
