MIRI: Two drainage upgrading projects in Kampung Luak here to reduce the risk of flash floods have been completed.

The construction work costing RM350,000 was approved in 2021 under Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting’s Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

“Constructions for these projects had started somewhere in Sept and Nov last year,” said Ting after visiting the site yesterday.

Both projects were completed within three months’ time.

Ting was happy that both drainage projects were completed within schedule and hoped that more earth drains could be upgraded into concreate drains in the future at the village.
