KUCHING : A 25-year-old mechanic was killed instantly when his car went out of control, hit a roadside burger stall before crashing into a tree yesterday morning.
The accident badly damaged the front of the car.
Reven Baseng, from Tabuan Dayak, Lundu was driving from the traffic lights at Jalan Akses FAC towards Bandar Baru Semariang at 5am yesterday when his car went out of control.
Passers-by called the police and firemen arrived to help remove his body from the car.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement head Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
Reven’s remains were taken to the Sarawak General Hospital morgue for a post-mortem.
