SIBU: A man was injured in an accident at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman yesterday. The crash involved a van driven by Lee Siew Kwong, 28, who lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a tree. A spokesperson for the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said a team from the Sungai Merah fire station was deployed to the scene following a distress call at 2.07pm.
Six firemen led by PB Peter Jinang rushed to the scene with a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT). The victim was assisted by members of the public before firemen arrived. He was later sent to Sibu Hospital for treatment.
