BINTULU: A 34-year-old man sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision along Jalan Tanjung Kidurong today (Nov 30).

The accident, which happened at around 3 pm, involved a car driven by the victim and an oil palm tanker.

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Kidurong station were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call.

On arrival, the team confirmed the accident and found that the driver of the car was pinned to his seat.

Extrication works were conducted to free the victim and once freed, he was handed over to the paramedics for further treatment.

The extent of his injuries was not known.

Meanwhile, the tanker driver was unscathed in the accident.
