MIRI: A man died when he lost control of his car and hit a metal divider at Jalan Pan Borneo, near Ladang Sawit No. 4, Beluru junction, on Saturday.
Miri police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the victim, aged 29, was on his way from Niah to Beluru when the 4 pm incident happened.
Initial investigation found that the victim lost control of his Perodua Bezza and crashed into the divider.
The crash sent the victim flying out of his vehicle and slamming directly onto the concrete surface.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel from Batu Niah Health Clinic.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
