MIRI: A local man died on the spot after his car crashed near Ancarang Sekaloh junction, Jalan Pan Borneo Bintulu-Miri this morning (June 2).
It was believed that the victim, travelling towards Miri from Bintulu, had lost control of his vehicle before crashing into the roadside slope around 10.40am.
Firefighters from Batu Niah station rushed to the scene, about 15km away, after receiving a distress call.
On arrival, extrication works were performed to pull the victim from underneath the car.
The victim, identified as Ericson Tanyit Usang, 22, was handed over to the paramedics, who confirmed that he died at the scene.
