KUCHING: Two individuals sustained minor injuries after their car crashed in a ditch along Jalan Selangau-Mukah.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Operations Centre received a distress call at 11.51 am on Saturday pertaining to the accident and dispatched firefighters from Selangau fire station.

Upon arrival, a team of six firefighters discovered that the MPV vehicle reportedly lost control and turned turtle in a ditch.

The male driver escaped to safety before Bomba arrived while the passenger, a woman who had a stroke, was extricated by the firefighters with a stretcher.

The woman was then handed over to paramedics at the scene for further treatment.

After ensuring the area was safe for road users, the operation ended at 12.45 pm.
