BETONG: A driver sustained a leg injury following a head-on collision near Simpang Biawak, Jalan Lundu-Sematan here this morning.
The 6.55 am accident involved a Proton X50 and a Perodua Kancil near Kampung Titiakar.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Lundu station were deployed to the scene, about 10km away, after being alerted to the crash.
Upon arrival, they found that the Kancil driver pinned to his seat and proceeded to extricate him.
The 23-year-old man, who sustained injuries to his leg, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the other driver escaped injuries.
