KUCHING: A collision between a Perodua Kenari and a four-wheel drive vehicle on Tuesday night at Santubong Bridge left the driver of the Perodua Kenari trapped in his car.
The man’s wife who was injured was, however, helped out of the car by members of the public.
Both vehicles came from opposite direction.
Firemen and police were called to the scene. The firemen used tools to cut open the door of the Perodua Kenari before freeing the driver.
The man and his wife, who were conscious, were later rushed to the Sarawak General Hospital for treatment.
The 40-year-old driver of the four-wheel drive vehicle escaped unhurt.
