SEBUYAU: Two drivers were lucky to escape unharmed after their vehicles were involved in a collision at KM20, Jalan Kampung Arus Bajong, Sebangan on Tuesday (Aug 25).
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu told that the incident occurred around 9.30am when both vehicles – a lorry and a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle – were travelling in opposite directions.
The collision occurred when the 4WD vehicle travelling from Sebuyau, was believed to have gone out of control and veered into the opposing lane and collided with the lorry.
“As a result of the collision, both vehicles skidded to the side of the road but both drivers did not suffer any injury.
“Investigations found that the 4WD vehicle had gone through a puddle of water on the road, went out of control and had collided with the lorry,” he said in a statement.
He pointed out that the case is being investigated under Rule 10 LN 166/59.
