KUCHING: Padawan police arrested a 48-year-old man in his house at Taman Palma Indah, Matang here at 11.30am on Monday.
The police team led by Inspector Nicodemus Branking searched the house and found syabu weighting 5.62 gms with a street value of RM1,052.
The suspect was tested positive for drugs and the case is being investigated under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952 which carries a jail sentence of not less than two years but not more than five years and not less than three strokes of the cane upon conviction.
Deputy Padawan police chief DSP Merbin Lisa confirmed the case.
