KUCHING: The last active Covid-19 cluster—the DTI Semuja Cluster 3 in Serian—has finally ended.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) announced the end of the cluster in its daily update on Tuesday (April 19) after no new cases were recorded.
It also said that no new Covid-19 clusters were reported in the state.
The DTI Semuja Cluster 3 was declared on March 10. The cluster involved the Semuja Immigration Detention Depot in Serian.
The index case (case 270,274) was a 34-year-old foreign male detainee awaiting trial. He tested positive on March 7.
