KUCHING: The Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Chamber (Dewan Usahwan Bumiputera Sarawak — DUBS) received RM20 million from the state government on Monday (Apr 5).

The fund was presented by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg to DUBS president Datuk Abang Helmi Tan Sri Ikhwan at the Chief Minister’s Office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia building here.

DUBS was established in January 1986 with the objective of helping and uniting Bumiputera traders and entrepreneurs.

The fund is for a new land development project at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee.

Earlier, Abang Johari listened to a DUBS briefing by Abang Helmi that was also attended by DUBS deputy president Zawawi Embong and other dignitaries.
