KUCHING: Two store keepers were arrested for possessing a type of drug, nospan, which were packed in small plastic bags. Sarawak Narcotics Department chief Supt Hasnir Abdul Hamid said the two, a 39-year-old and a 34-year-old, were arrested in a store at Jalan Khoo Hun Yeang at 3.40pm Tuesday.
Acting on information received, narcotics police went to the store and checked the duo who was found with 320 nospan pills valued at RM200. Hasnir said the drugs were packed into 20 transparent plastic bags each containing 16 pills.
Both the suspects tested negative for drugs. The duo also did not have past records of drug abuse or possession. They were remanded to facilitate further investigation. They may be charged under Section 30(3) of the Poison Act 1952.
