BAU: Two men were recently arrested by the police here for suspected drug abuse. District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said the police are investigating the duo, aged 21 and 23, under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act.
The unemployed men were inside a house at Kampung Sungai Pinang when a team of police raided it at 7.35pm and arrested them. A transparent plastic package containing 0.27g of crystalline substance believed to be syabu was also seized.
They both tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. They have been remanded to facilitate investigations. However, they have no previous criminal records.
