KUCHING: The Sarawak State Mosques Welfare Trust Board (LAKMNS) launched their e-Cemetery website to facilitate and expedite the process of searching Bernamadeceased’s names at the Samariang cemetery.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari said the website would easier the family members to look for their deceased’s names through the ‘e-cemetery GIS System Project’.
“This will make the process faster and easier for the family members to look for their deceased’s name at the Samariang cemetery. Through the launching of this website, it shows that LAKMNS is getting more organised,” said Johari at the launching ceremony of the e-Cemetery at Masjid Jamek here yesterday.
The e-Cemetery is a collaboration between LAKMNS and Sarawak Information System Sdn Bhd (Sains), in which LAMKNS is responsible to update the deceased name lists every month.
At the same time, LAMKNS also distributed their ‘Bubur MASJA-SA’ to the public, especially in Kuching aimed to inculcate and attract the public to get themselves closer to the mosque during the Ramadan month.
