SEPANG: The Transport Ministry has announced the introduction of an e-credit initiative to assist students from Sarawak and Sabah studying in public higher learning institutions (IPTA) in returning home during holidays or semester breaks.

Its Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the initiative will be implemented in August and is expected to be launched before Independence Day.

“The government, through the Transport Ministry, has introduced an initiative to provide flight ticket assistance to students, credited directly to their respective accounts. They can utilise this credit to purchase flight tickets,” he said.
