BINTULU: The e-Filing season begins on March 1 every year. It is a long-awaited day for the taxpayers as it allows them to start fulfilling their responsibilities to the nation.

According to Noor Amirah M Effandy, Customer Care Officer at the Inland Revenue Board Malaysia (IRBM) Bintulu Branch, this year, IRBM won’t be opening the e-Filing counters. Instead, the taxpayers are encouraged to submit their return forms via e-Filing system @ https://mytax.hasil.gov.my

“If you have not registered as an e-Filing user, the e-Filing Pin number can be obtained via the IRBM Customer Feedback Form,” she said.

She also urged the public to visit: https://maklumbalaspelanggan.hasil.gov.my/MaklumBalas/en-US.

The taxpayers are advised to ensure that all documents related to claimable reliefs in their tax return forms are kept accordingly and neatly for seven years.

“The taxpayers may photocopy physically and digitally each statement and categorise it based on the type or reliefs and year of assessment.

The due date for submitting the return form via e-Filing is on   May 15, 2022 for individuals without business source of income and  July 15, 2022 for the taxpayers with business source of income,” she added.
