KUCHING: E-invoicing is essential for the growth of the state business sector, particularly in aiding traders in the state to fully understand the taxation system in Malaysia.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian said all traders, including small traders, should take the opportunity to attend seminars or workshops organised by the state government.

“These events, in collaboration with the  Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN), aim to provide new information regarding e-invoicing,” he said.

The SUPP president, who also serves as the Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government said that this matter is very important, given that Sarawak is directly involved with the types of taxes introduced at the national level.

He said this iduring the E-Invoicing Acceptance Seminar in the Real World Challenges held at Sa’ati Hall, the headquarters of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) here on Wednesday (Oct 9).

“We need to do this collectively because what is important for Sarawak right now is that we need to remain focused. As I mentioned earlier, this taxation system is a national agenda.
