KUCHING: The Kuching Waterfront Jazz Festival (KWJF) to be held on 28 and 29 September 2018 at Kuching Waterfront @ Grand Margherita Hotel is offering early bird promotion starting today.
In a press statement issued yesterday, the event organiser, Place Borneo Sdn Bhd revealed that after a successful first instalment last year, the music festival promises a bigger and better line-up of performing artistes from various countries.
The early bird promotion which begins today (16 March 2018) at kuchingwaterfrontjazz.com could be redeemed at Grand Margherita Hotel or Riverside Majestic Hotel at the end of this month.
Adults can get a discounted ticket at RM60 for a one-day pass or RM100 for a two-day pass whilst children’s early bird tickets are priced at RM 30 for a one-day pass. Early bird promotion is only valid until 31 May. All tickets are free standing for this rain-or-shine outdoor festival.
The inaugural event last year saw a successful line-up of artistes and performers including Malaysia’s own Queen of Jazz, Sheila Majid, Ernie Watts (USA), Jeremy Monteiro (Singapore), Kunto Aji (Indonesia), Abdul and the Coffee Theory (Indonesia), Balawan Magic Fingers (Indonesia), Mellow Motif (Thailand), Shanghai Sisters (Malaysia) and more.
A record of 4,000 festival goers enjoyed themselves at KWJF 2017 as it was a family-oriented event with not only music concerts with a view of the river but also a lively bazaar with food, art, handicraft and merchandise.
Apart from giving prominence to the scenic Kuching Waterfront, KWJF was created by Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) in the hopes of becoming a platform to inspire and nurture local music talents.
KWJF also aims to encourage events and festivals in Sarawak to increase destination visibility and awareness. It is an entertaining event to be enjoyed both by family as well as people of all ages.
