KUCHING: The Panda Jelajah Borneo campaign has opened doors to flexible earning opportunities for locals.
Foodpanda Malaysia’s director of operations Shubham Saran said the event was a platform for community engagement and support.
“This initiative is aimed at supporting economic growth by providing diverse ways for locals to earn and thrive.
“We are committed to providing ample employment opportunities for locals, whether they are seeking part-time or full-time work,” he said when launching the campaign at Plaza Merdeka today (Oct 15).
“To facilitate this, we have set up a recruitment booth where interested individuals can sign up to become delivery partners and receive their identification on the spot.”
With on-the-day training and rider kits valued at RM150 provided free of charge, new delivery partners can start delivering immediately, he added.
The event also showcased the panda hearts programme, which offers various benefits, including insurance coverage and upskilling opportunities for riders and their families.
To date, Foodpanda Malaysia has over 2,000 delivery partners throughout Sarawak.
