BINTULU: Education is the main key to opening the door to a brighter future, according to Bintulu Member of Parliament, Datuk Sri Tiong King Sing.
He stressed that education is an important foundation to producing a generation that is not only competitive, but also progressive.
Tiong said this in his read by his Special Officer, Steven Kong, at the Student Achievement Award (MAKEM) and Form Five Appreciation Ceremony of SMK Kemena.
He stressed that the success celebrated at the ceremony was the result of the students’ hard work, the support of teachers, parents, and the school community as a whole.
“Today’s success indicates that strong support from all parties is the key to ensuring that students continue to progress,” he said.
He also called on the entire community to continue to provide unwavering support to ensure students achieve greater excellence in the future.
Tiong also assured that efforts to strengthen the education system in Bintulu will continue, including improving facilities and the quality of teaching in local schools.
Bintulu District Education Officer Yusuf Harbi, President of the SMK Kemena Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), Nurul Jamal, and SMK Kemena principal, Nasirin Adenan were also present.
