LAWAS: The State Education Department (JPN) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) acted swiftly following a fire that severely damaged the administrative block of SMK Lawas late Monday night.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek assured that emergency measures were immediately implemented, prioritising the safety of all those affected and initiating the recovery of the damaged facilities.
She asserted that the authorities are committed to speeding up the repair works to ensure that administrative and educational operations can resume promptly.
“We are dedicated to expediting the restoration to minimise any prolonged disruption,” she said in a Facebook post.
The fire has deeply impacted the school and the local community in Lawas, but efforts are underway to return to normalcy as soon as possible.
The authorities are working closely to ease the recovery process for the students and staff of SMK Lawas, with safety and continuity of education being the primary focus.
