SARIKEI: The ‘first-class work culture’ that emphasis integrity, discipline, and responsibility must be the guiding principle for all education personnel in fulfilling their duties with honesty and transparency.

Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said educators must uphold the image and reputation of their schools.

“My hope is that all educators maintain the good image and reputation of their schools and the District Education Office, especially in navigating these volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous times,” he said.

He was speaking during the 2024 Excellent Service Award (APC) ceremony organised by the Sarikei District Education Office here yesterday (Oct 3).

Huang, who is also Sarikei MP, added that educators should elevate their professionalism by demonstrating credibility and maintaining a positive image.

“Maintaining integrity is crucial to prevent mistakes from tarnishing the reputation of the entire organisation,” he said.

During the event, Huang presented a RM30,000 allocation to the Sarikei District Education Office Recreational Club to support its annual activities.
