KOTA SAMARAHAN: Efforts to increase the number of tourists to Kota Samarahan will continue, said State Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Datuk Idris Buang.
He said the people’s representatives in the area must continue to support the efforts carried out by the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council to make it a tourist attraction.
“Samarahan has many cultures and traditions which cover all the different races and I see this as more interesting compared to as in Kuching,” he said this when officiating at the Samarahan Food and Culture Festival (SFCF) 2022 at the Summer Mall Parking Lot here on Sunday (Dec 11).
Idris said the SFCF is listed in the state’s tourism calendar and has brought benefits to the people at Kota Samarahan.
The SFCF is being held from Dec 10-16.
Some 100 food stalls have been prepared by the MPKS which sell food products and handicrafts. There is also an exhibition.
