LUNDU: Eight foreigners, including two women, were arrested on Saturday after crossing the Sarawak-Indonesia border.
The First Infantry Division said a joint Malaysian-Indonesian patrol apprehended the group at 1.10 pm in Biawak.
The individuals, aged between 19 and 39, were found 590 metres inside Malaysian territory.
“Upon inspection, no prohibited or dangerous items were found, only personal belongings worth RM10,026,” the division said in a statement.
The eight were subsequently escorted back to Indonesia.
