KUCHING: A local man was sentenced to eight months in jail by the Magistrate’s Court here today for strangling his father who refused to give him his car keys.
Magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali sentenced Ramlissari Malim, 23, after he pleaded guilty to the charge read before him in court.
The court also ordered him to be imprisoned starting from the date of his arrest on December 20, 2021.
According to the brief facts of the case, the unemployed youth was charged with causing hurt to his 47-year-old father by strangling him at their home at Kampung Selipar Putus at 5 pm on December 20 last year.
