KUCHING: Eight Covid-19 patients died on Friday (June 11), bringing Sarawak’s death toll to 342.
The 335th death was a local woman, 72, from Kanowit District. She tested positive on May 23. She had hypertension and dyslipidemia.
The 336th death was a local man, 55, from Subis District, who tested positive on May 31. He had no comorbidities.
A local woman, 80, from Tatau District, was the 337th fatality. She tested positive on June 8, and had hypertension and diabetes.
The 338th death—a local woman, 80, from Miri District—tested positive for Covid-19 on June 6. She suffered from hypertension and dyslipidemia.
The 339th death was a local man, 63, from Miri District. His Covid-19 swab test came back positive on May 30 and he had hypertension, diabetes, and end-stage kidney disease.
The 340th death was a 53-year-old local man from Miri District. He was confirmed Covid-19 positive on May 28 and he had hypertension, dyslipidemia and obesity.
The 341th death was a 75-year-old local man from Sibu District. He tested positive on May 24 and he had heart disease and chronic kidney disease.
The 342nd death—a local woman aged 68 from Sibu District—passed away at Sibu Hospital. She was Covid-19 positive on June 7 and she had hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, diabetes with diabetic kidney disease, heart disease and cancer.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee would like to extend its deepest condolences to the family members of the victims.
