SIBU: A house of an elderly man was engulfed in flames this morning.
According to the statement by the State Fire and Rescue Department, the said house located at Lot 154, Kampung Banyok, Sibu was 20×30 feet and was 100 percent destroyed by the fire.
Sibu Fire and Rescue Station despatched their team to the scene after receiving a call at 8.33am.
The team used a defensive extinguishing strategy and the fire was brought under control at 9:46am.
“There were no injuries caused by the fire,” it said.
