SRI AMAN: An elderly man, reported missing after going to his farm at Sungai Raya Ibol since last Wednesday, has been found safe and sound yesterday (Nov 24).

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that 75-year-old Niang Lasa was discovered by the public at 10.30 am at Sungai Antu, Batu Lintang.

Niang is found safe and sound after going missing since Wednesday.

He was brought to the search and control (SAR) post for a health check-up before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.

It was understood that Niang was found outside of the search radius, about 8km from the SAR post.

Following this, the search operation was officially called off at 1.30 pm.

On Wednesday), Niang left his home at Rh Ringgit Ibol, at around 11 am to go to his farm at Sungai Raya Ibol.

After failing to return home by night fall, his family promptly reported his disappearance for further search assistance.
