MIRI: A 51-year-old man was killed instantly, while his brother miraculously survived after their car veered off the road and crashed into a slope at Jalan Pan Borneo, adjacent to Ladang Chart, on Sunday.

The victim is successfully retrieved.

The incident, which occurred around 3.30 pm, involved a white Proton Saga FLX which crashed and plummeted into a slope, descending approximately 20 feet.

Following a distress call received around 5.57 pm, a team of firefighters from Batu Niah Fire Station was swiftly dispatched to the scene.

The operation to retrieve the body, concluded at about 8.12 pm. The deceased has been identified as Machan Suut, aged 51.

It is believed that Machan was ejected from the vehicle when it lost control and crashed into the slope. His body was found about three meters from the car, lying face down.

Authorities have since taken possession of Machan’s body for further actions.
