MIRI: A man in his 70s suffered burn after a fire broke out in a wooden house in Kampung Rancah-Rancah, Bekenu today (March 13).
The man was taken to Bekenu clinic.
He was reported to sustain burnt to his left arm.
In the 5.30pm incident, the house was completely destroyed.
According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre (PGO), the victim was rescued by nearby villagers who later rushed him to Bekenu Clinic.
Meanwhile, adjacent house sustained five percent damaged in the incident .
A team of nine firemen led by Batu Niah fire station Francis Acheh Angai, were deployed to the scene upon receiving the distressed call.
