The incident occurred in front of the Royal Malaysia Air Force (TUDM) Base at 6.38 pm when the victim, a 54-year-old woman, was riding solo towards Kota Samarahan.

Kota Samarahan police chief DSP Brodie Brangka said the victim was overtaking a lorry in front of her when she lost control of her motorcycle, resulting in a collision with the said lorry.

“Following that, the victim was thrown onto the road, while her motorcycle was dragged about 40 metres from the collision point.

“As a result, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, and her body was taken to the hospital for a post-mortem,” he said.

The lorry involved in the accident fled the scene and has not been identified.
