KUCHING: The Batu Lintang branch of Sarawak United National Youth Organisation (SABERKAS) has conducted a screening process to identify aid recipients, who comprised all races and beliefs.
Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How said annual charitable activities that help persons from impoverished origins and promote a loving society are welcomed.
“The organisation has supplied food assistance to over 60 households, 20 of whom have received it early. The food aid was personally delivered to some of their homes because some of them are classified as persons with disabilities (OKU),” he said.
See was officiating at the basic food aid handover ceremony held at a residence for the elderly in Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here yesterday.
SABERKAS Batu Lintang branch provided food assistance to more than 60 families from disadvantaged backgrounds as part of its annual programme yesterday.
