MALAYSIA’S very own Queen of Rock, Ella, has recently been recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for the achievement made by her recent concert, “Jilid Akhir Ella Puteri Kota 2.0”. The 56-year-old singer recently set the record for “Most Concert Tickets Sold Out: 10,000 Tickets in 24 Hours” for the said concert, which took place at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, on June 11.
Speaking about the recognition, an elated Ella said, “I appreciate it, and of course I am proud that my fans have shown their appreciation towards me. I feel very honoured by the non-stop support from the fans, and for that, I say thank you.”
Previously, the “Standing in the Eyes of the World” hitmaker had also been recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records in 2019, after she performed with the accompaniment of 200 musicians.
During the media interview, Ella also dismissed the notion that this would be her last concert, despite the title. “This is not my last concert; on the contrary, the story about this concert will complement the final volume of my book that will be released at a later date,” she said.
