KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has ended the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) enforced at Sri Aman prison and staff quarters as scheduled today.
In a statement today, it said this was in view of results from the second screening had not returned any new positive cases.
“Besides this, there is no evidence indicating that infections are still spreading in that area,” it added.
The committee also made the decision to end the EMCO imposed in Kampung Menuang Baru, Limbang tomorrow (22 April) as the results of the second screening had not discovered any new positive cases there as well.
“There is also no evidence that infections are still spreading in the area,” said SDMC.
The EMCO at Sri Aman prison and staff quarters was enforced starting Apr 8 whereas the one at Kampung Menuang Baru was effective from Apr 11.
