KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has ended the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) at 40 locations on Thursday (Sept 9).

The EMCO has ended at Rumah Bisop, Kampung Rapak Gelu, Pantu in Sri Aman district on Wednesday (Sept 8).

Today (Sept 9), SDMC ended the EMCO at Kampung Baru, Kota Samarahan; Kampung Bungey at Debak; Rumah William at Buloh Antu; and Rumah Robert Walter, Nanga Gayau at Debak in Betong.

“The EMCO has also been lifted at Kampung Opar in Bau and Kampung Serabang in Pusa, including localities in Bintulu, namely rental room above Bintulu Auto shop; Lee Global workers quarters; and Rumah Siba Anak Bunsu, Batu 25 at Jalan Bintulu-Miri on Sept 9,” said the committee.

Today, the ECMO has ended at the Belaga district, SK Batu Keling quarters, Rumah Lat at Sungai Munau, Uma Lahanan at Sungai Asap Blok F, SK Long Urun, Rumah Pait Awan, Long Dulit Ulu Dikan, Tr Clement Usang at Sungai Asap, Rumah Dang Lajang and Rumah Besi Balan in Sungai Asap.

Sungai Asap in Belaga, Kem Putra Mas Urun, Rumah Robert Long Urun, Rumah Udau Tedong, Rumah Jangan Bunyi, Rumah Bisie Janea, Rumah Ating Tajai, Rumah John Ding Kun, Long Aie at Urun Sungai Asap, Rumah Labang Uvet, Rumah Baya Sipat, Uma Pawa Tr Eric William Sia, Uma Badeng, Jambatan Urun (Tr Anthony Lerang), Tabika Kemas at Long Urun, Tenaga Solar SEB quarters and Ladang Sawit Urun 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 were also freed from the EMCO today.

Apart from that, SDMC has decided to enforce the EMCO at 24 new localities in Bintulu, Tatau, Beluru, Subis, Sarikei, Betong and Saratok.

“Taan workers quarters in Bintulu are under the EMCO from Sept 7 until Sept 20. Also in Bintulu, rental room above Solidcool Air Conditioners & Refrigeration Sdn Bhd shop and SK Tatau quarters in Tatau had begun their EMCO from Sept 8 (Wednesday) until Sept 21.

“From Sept 9 until Sept 23, Rumah Chabu Anak Makum, Sg Liam Atas, Lepong Ajai and SK Lepong Ajai both at Bakong in Beluru as well as Rumah William Tinggang Anak Mawar, Sg Teleku at Manong and Niah Palm Oil factory, KM67 at Jalan Miri-Bintulu in Subis will undergo the EMCO,” said SDMC.

In Sarikei, the EMCO was enforced from today until Sept 22 at Rumah Jalang at Ulu Paoh, Rumah Ngabong at Bukit Sebangkoi, Rumah Manggang at Sungai Empelai Kerubong, Rumah Swak at Sungai Tekalong, Rumah Johnny at Ulu Paoh, Rumah Runggah at Nanga Garu and Rumah Sigi at Sungai Sentebu.

In Betong, the EMCo will be enforced from tomorrow (Sept 10) until Sept 23 at Rumah Allen Gimah, Nanga Ajau at Layar, Rumah August at Ban Ulu, Rumah Garak, Munggu Menggeris and Rumah Inchok, Sabar at Debak, Rumah Mau at Enteban Ulu, Rumah Reselie Ujih at Serudit B, Rumah Martin Ngelambong, Nanga Nanam at Spaoh and Rumah Jonathan at Serian Ili.

In Saratok, Rumah Douglas Tampang at Wong Limat and Rumah Mudit, Lubok Lidong, Kaki Wong at Krian will undergo the EMCO from tomorrow (Sept 10) until Sept 23.

The committee has also decided to extend the restriction at Lorong 9 Taman Ytd in Bintulu (Sept 9 until Sept 22), Rumah Lembang, Inar and Rumah Legom, Serunggap both in Debak in Betong and Rumah Imau, Kampung Tanjung, Engkelili in Lubok Antu from tomorrow (Sept 10) until Sept 23.
