KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) ended the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) at seven localities today (August 18).

In Sri Aman, the localities are Rumah Gunong, Kampung Samak in Undop; Rumah Lansam   Kubu, Kampung Kandis Asal; Rumah Laham   Mada, Kampung Bangkong Engkabang; Rumah Igoh Atut, Kampung Selanjan Jalong  in Pantu and Rumah Faizal in Kampung Engkeramut.

In Meradong, the localities are the Sungai Kubud estate worker quarters, Ladang Keresa at Sebauh in Bintulu and Rumah Juan, Skim B, Bintangor.

The committee announced the enforcement of the EMCO at Rumah Mara, Gran C Stumbin in Sri Aman from Wednesday (Aug 18) to August 24.

It also announced the extension of the EMCO at Kampung Jirok in Simunjan from today until August 23.

Sarawak now has 22 red districts with Beluru turning red today after it recorded 41 local infection cases in the past 14 days.

The state now has four green districts, four orange districts and 10 yellow districts.
