KUCHING: The enhanced movement control order (EMCO) will be enforced at 19 new localities in the state between September 30 and October 11.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement on Thursday (Sept 30), said five of the localities are in Pakan district, four others in Julau, three areas in Lubok Antu and two areas in Betong district.
The other new localities are in Sri Aman, Saratok, Lubok Antu, Tatau and Limbang.
In Pakan District, the EMCO will be enforced from September 30 to October 9 at Rumah Mandau, Sungai Maram Ulu Buku; Rumah Enchangie, Ulu Pedanum; Rumah Ali, Melepong and Rumah Tambi, Ng Dasu while at Rumah Panggai, Dayat, the EMCO will start on Oct 1 until Oct 10.
The EMCO will be enforced at four localities in Julau District – namely Rumah Fabian Unggang, Sungai Sapi, 25KM Jalan Julau-Entabai; Rumah Liba, Nanga Bua; Rumah Jeffery, Nanga Entabai and Rumah Moses, Rantau Pitak Entabai from Sept 30 to Oct 9.
SDMC said that the EMCO has been enforced on Sept 29 to Oct 8 at Rumah Brandah, Tanjung Rirang in Sri Aman District.
Beginning tomorrow (Nov 1) until Oct 9, the EMCO will be enforced in Rumah Sengat, Batu 8 in Limbang; Kampung Saudara Baru, Merindun, Rumah Sirai, Marup, Engkilili and Rumah Bugie, Kapu, Ulu Lemanak in Lubok Antu District.
“Meanwhile for Kem Ba Puak in Telang Usan District and Rumah James Kalip Anak Ambu, Sungai Semanok in Tatau District, the movement restriction will be enforced from Sept 30 to Oct 9.
The committee also added that EMCO will be enforced at Rumah Kechendai, Jaloh and Rumah Adal, Nanga Tiga in Betong and Kampung Tengah Kupang in Saratok from Oct 1 to Oct 11.
SDMC also declared the end of the EMCO imposed at 28 localities in the state.
