KUCHING: Eight localities were put under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO), said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
The committee said that Rumah (Rh) Belong Entalang, Nanga Serenggas, Ulu Anap in Tatau district had undergone Emco from July 30 until Aug 12.
From Aug 1 until Aug 14, three localities in Bintulu district namely Shoplot 21, 22 and 23, Kemena Industrial Estate, Jalan Bintulu Tatau; Leader Garage Rental House; and rental room above an empty shop next to Velton Inn were also put under EMCO.
The enforcement of EMCO on three villages in Kuching district namely Kampung Punau, Kampung Git, and Kampung Bunuk will start on Tuesday (Aug 3) until Aug 16 whereas the Palmlyn Farm Workers Quarters Sdn Bhd will undergo its EMCO from Aug 4 until Aug 17.
Along the line, the committee had also announced that as today (Aug 2), the EMCO at Rh Keroh, Sg. Sebatu, Ulu Mador, Bintangor in Meradong district has been lifted.
The SDMC also reported that Tebedu district is now orange from yellow, after recording 25 cases in the past 14 days.
As of yesterday (Aug 2), the state now has 17 red status districts; seven orange status districts; 10 yellow status districts; and six green status districts.
