KUCHING: The enhanced movement control order (EMCO) as announced by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today (May 5) will be imposed on seven longhouses and one village.
The committee said that the EMCO will be enforced at Rumah Sali, Rumah Seliau and Rumah Inyang in Kanowit; Rumah Amrose, Rumah Lenggang and Rumah Umin in Selangau; Rumah Monica Giri in Sibu and Kampung Melango Lama in Saratok.
“The EMCO at Rumah Sali, Rumah Seliau, Rumah Inyang, Rumah Ambrose, Rumah Lenggang, Rumah Umin and Rumah Monica Giri will take place from today until May 12.
“The EMCO at Kampung Melango Lama started today and will last until May 18,” it said.
The committee said Tebedu district has changed to orange zone after 28 local infection cases were recorded within the past 14 days. The number of orange districts has increased to five.
“Twenty-four districts remain red, 11 are yellow and there’s no green zone,” said SDMC.
