KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has decided to enforce the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) in 13 new locations.
A SDMC statement said starting from Aug 11 until 24, Rumah Degum Usit, Naga Puti in Kakus in the district of Tatau would be under EMCO.
“Rumah Kepalin Omar at KM58 Jalan Bintulu-Miri, Wahon Glass and Aluminium Sdn Bhd workers quarters and Kemena Industrial Estate in Bintulu are also under EMCO on the same dates.”
Meanwhile, Kampung Bungey, Debak in Betong, Kampung Sega in Bau, Kampung Sungai Pinang Baru, Kampung Sungai Pinang Sega, Kampung Sungai Pinang Lama and Kampung Sungai Pinang in Simunjan, as well as Kampung Baru, Kota Samarahan in Samarahan will undergo EMCO from Aug 13 until 26.
Also from Friday (Aug 13), Kampung Braang Payang, Kampung Samariang Batu and Kampung Pulo Hilir and Kampung Pulo Ulu in Kuching will be under Emco until Aug 26.
In Meradong, Rumah Juan, Skim B in Bintangor began EMCO on Thursday (Aug 12) until Aug 28, while the Sri Datai Ming Sdn Bhd workers quarters in Mukah will be under EMCO from Aug 14 until 27.
EMCO in nine locations ended on Thursday, namely Rumah Regina, Sungai Selidap in Sarikei, Rumah Chuat Empayang in Kabong and Kampung Senari in Kuching.
“Rumah Gilbert Melina, Kampung Rawan Ili at Tanjung Bijat in Sri Aman, Rumah Belong Entalang, Nanga Serenggas at Ulu Anap in Tatau, Rumah Abo Abit, Jambatan Lemua in Bakong, Rumah Seman Reggie, Sungai Nat, Jalan Samling in Tinjar and Rumah Ambon Menggat, Jambatan Lemua in Bakong in Beluru, and Kampung Empila, Kota Samarahan in Samarahan also ended EMCO on Thursday.”
