KUCHING: The Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Chamber (DUBS) kicked off its first 2024-2027 session with a strategic meeting aimed at empowering Bumiputera entrepreneurs to drive Sarawak’s economic transformation toward becoming a ‘Prosperous and Advanced State’ by 2030.

Chairing the session, its president Datuk Abang Helmi Ikhwan said that the meeting outlined key initiatives to support Bumiputera entrepreneurs, who are seen as vital contributors to the state’s economic growth.

“We believe that by fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among Bumiputera, we can contribute to sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

“This aligns with the government’s vision of making Sarawak a prosperous and advanced state by 2030,” he said.

He said this in his opening address during the meeting held at Merdeka Palace Hotel here today.

Furthermore, the meeting also introduced the newly elected Executive Council members, who will be tasked with implementing programmes to enhance Bumiputera business competitiveness.

“Among the initiatives discussed were the provision of skills training, access to financing, and improved marketing opportunities.
