MIRI: The much-anticipated 3rd Datuk Sebastian Education & Career Fair 2024 scheduled to take place at the Pullman Hotel here from May 24 to May 25 is aimed at providing a comprehensive platform for students and job seekers.
Organised by the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Piasau Service Centre Youth Branch and the Miri Division Education Initiative Society (MEIS), the event is set to be a significant opportunity for individuals to explore educational and career pathways.
With support from the education partner, Market Management Services Sdn Bhd (MMS), this year’s fair promises to be even more expansive and diverse than before.
It will feature 43 educational institutions from Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, and the USA, known for their exceptional academic standards and dedication to educational excellence.
The primary objective of the fair is to connect students with renowned educational institutions, thereby assisting them in making informed decisions about their academic futures.
Representatives from the participating institutions will be present, offering students a unique opportunity to interact directly and gain valuable insights into the programs and courses available.
This direct engagement is aimed at empowering students with the knowledge they need to make the best choices for their educational paths.
In parallel with the education fair, a career fair will also be held, featuring 22 companies from Miri, Bintulu, and Peninsular Malaysia.
These companies will provide a broad spectrum of career prospects for job seekers attending the event.
It offers individuals a chance to explore various job opportunities and connect with potential employers.
To further enrich the educational discourse, the Miri District Education Office (PPD) will host the International Education Colloquium 2024 (IECMIRI2024) in conjunction with the fair.
Taking place on May 23-24, 2024, at the Pullman Hotel, the colloquium aims to foster discussions and collaborations on international educational standards and practices.
The Datuk Sebastian Education & Career Fair 2024, in partnership with MMS, the Miri District Education Office, and PERKESO, is poised to be an essential event for students and job seekers alike.
