BETONG: Sarawak Education Expo which is held simultaneously throughout the state can prevent students from falling behind in their studies to a higher level.
Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Deputy Minister Mohammad Razi Sitam said such an expo serves as a platform for school-leavers to get the latest information on courses and fields of study offered through the involvement of educational institutions.
“The expo organised by Yayasan Sarawak can help students from rurals who are left out from access to higer education due to geographic factors.
“The expo offers all sorts of information ad the sponsorshipm,” he said at the Sarawak Education Expo launching ceremony in the Betong and Pusa District, held at Dewan Sukan Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan today.
Razi added, the Sarawak government, under the leadership of the current Premier of Sarawak, is committed to ensuring that Sarawak remains on track to become a developed state by 2030.
Therefore, he said, the measures and plans introduced and implemented by the government are actually for the benefit of the people in the state.
In this regard, he hopes that this expo will be an annual programme that will benefit the people.
