KUCHING: Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) has joined forces with Tiktok Malaysia to empower local content creators for the benefit of Sarawakians.
This collaboration, driven by a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aims to foster meaningful connections, share ideas, and explore innovative collaborations among content creators, agency representatives, and industry professionals.
Manager of SDEC Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department, Khairool Adzelan highlighted the success of the six TikTok related programmes organised in Kota Samarahan, Serian, Sri Aman, Kapit, and Lawas since January this year.
“These programmes have benefitted a total of 135 individuals, and we are actively exploring ways to continuously track their growth on the platform.
“Together, we are committed to fostering an ecosystem of collaboration, creativity, and economic empowerment in Sarawak,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Adding on, he shared that a Tiktok Bootcamp Programme is scheduled to take place here, Sibu, and Miri from July 15 to 21.
Earlier this week, SDEC hosted Tiktok Malaysia here from July 9 to 11, in which participants went on a cultural visit to Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) and attended a press conference for the Sarawak Harvest and Folklore Festival 2023.
