PUSA: An unoccupied house was razed yesterday morning.
According to witnesses, the fire broke out around 1.15am and that it started on the right side of the house.
Firemen led by Operation Commander Jusmandie Jamaie rushed to the scene after being informed of the fire at around 1.48am.
The house was completely burnt down by the time the firemen arrived. They doused the fire to prevent it from spreading.
The operation was over at 4.30am. At the scene was chief of Betong Fire and Services Department Vincent Baling Yabi.
It is learned that the house which belonged to Rozaini Deli, 48, had been unoccupied for three years. Rozaini had moved to live in Kuching with her family.
